Algebraic Number Theory

I feel like we have talked about this a little before. However, after talking a little about Analytical Number Theory in class on Monday, I was a little curious about other branches of Number Theory. I ended up coming across Algebraic Number Theory. According to wikipedia, this is the study of "the algebraic structures related to algebraic integers." There is a lot of talk about rings and fields which are topics that I really know nothing about. It's just amazing that there are so many different forms of Number Theory and that each can be applied in different ways. Here is the link I found if you want to read a little more about it.
